Job Description :

This function provides first line support for finance / commercial finance systems users within the organisation. The scope includes all finance systems including, but not limited to Agresso and all the relevant interfaces and data stores. In addition, this function is also accountable for ensuring that the systems and IT processes fully support the relevant finance processes, for example Month/Year end close. Agresso specialist will support the business through the governance, controls, development and expansion of the finance system and related solutions/technologies. The role requires functional expertise in Finance & Commercial and technical expertise in the ERP systems (preferably Agresso) used by the business.

70 % technical and 30 % functional

Interface between Finance / Commercial finance and Agresso systems team.

Support the maintenance, development and enhancement of the Financial Management System (Agresso) ensuring its integrity at all times.

Support financial control and ensure the system meets the business needs in an accurate and timely manner

Support the work programmes that effect the Finance System or related technologies

Ensure finance systems solution configuration, process and associated reporting setup are fully and accurately documented for administrators, auditors and users

Support and assist in the control and management of periodic month end and year end process and procedures

Analyse and asses existing financial processes and technology support, study the gaps and provide efficient solution through ERP (Agresso) with regards to:

Contract to Cash

Procure to Pay

Record to Report

Budgeting and Planning

Develop Business case for recommended solutions i.e. solution benefits, cost savings, process improvements, cost comparisons etc.

Prioritise work across the finance systems IT support analysts to ensure that incidents and service requests are dealt with in-line with the expectations.

Providing first-line investigation and diagnosis. Resolving those incidents/ requests to a satisfactory conclusion, working with the IT Agresso support team-Level 2 where necessary

Reviewing and monitoring any escalated incidents/service requests to external suppliers/vendors where necessary and support Level 2 where necessary to successful resolution.

Prepare process documents and extend required training to the finance / commercial finance users

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

CA/ICWA/MBA - Finance with strong technical knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Agresso)

Must have four to six years of experience, in supporting financial systems

Must have experience of ERP - (ORACLE / SAP / Agresso). AGRESSO is preferred

Strong personal computer and business solutions software and MS office skills

Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management

Must have very good English writing and communication skills

Strong analytical and problem solving skills and able to handle pressure

Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting practices

Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
