Sr. Group Manager - Operations (Analytics - Onsite)

Job Responsibilities :

- Liaise with onshore/offshore stakeholders to define problem statements, design the relevant analytical solution and ensure effective implementation of the solution. This will entail creative thinking abilities and an ability to interpret unstructured requirements

- Project based execution support: Help incubate new engagements by executing Pilot, Proof of Concept projects to establish capabilities and credibility with existing and new clients. This may entail working either as an independent analyst or as part of a larger team to deliver on client requirements.

- Liaise between onshore client team and WNS offshore team to ensure delivery expectation and stakeholder management

- Resolve questions WNS off shore team may have working closely with client onshore team

- Develop descriptive and predictive models to solve business problems depending on the business requirement

- Collaborate with the business to build and review effectiveness of models to determine readiness for business use

- Produce high impact presentations and commentary alongside the analytical output for the on-shore team/key stakeholder(s)to help the business make informed decisions

- Best practice sharing: Participate in translating industry best practices and disseminating them to different customer accounts and aid capability building for the Insurance R&A in the areas of Advanced Analytics. This will also entail helping build domain and technical capabilities within the team and vertical through training support.

- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Analytics. Must be able to bring in thought leadership and understanding of current and future trends

- Participate in capability development by developing case studies, whitepapers and other collaterals for the business problems

Competency - Skills & Knowledge/ Values and Behaviors :

- B.Tech/B.E/B. Stats/MCA is mandatory. Preferred Master's degree (MBA / Statistics / Economics)

- Extremely hands - on with data mining and statistical tools like SAS, SQL, R, MS Azure ML, Knowledge Seeker etc.

- Extensive experience in building different types of models using advanced statistical techniques. Experience in predictive modelling techniques including neural network, ensemble modeling modelling and machine learning techniques in the Insurance domain is essential

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and abilities

- Extensive people management and project management experience leading high impact projects involving multiple teams/ sub-teams

- Ability to work in a rapidly changing and growth oriented environment with regularly changing priorities and developing opportunities

- 12+ years Insurance analytics experience with very good exposure to various functions within an Insurance Company

- Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to influence and gain consensus

- Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders in client organisation

- Strong team player, with an ability to work in an unstructured environment and a drive to learn new skills and business processes

- Should have experience in managing offshore team while working remotely in client sites

Work experience required : 10-12 Years

Minimum education required : B.Tech/B.E/B. Stats/MCA. Preferred Master's degree (MBA / Statistics / Economics)
