Responsible for ensuring compliance under Service ax law. Key deliverables expected from the position are:  - Ensure payment of Service tax within the due date as prescribed under the law.  - Ensure timely consolidation and validation of entries before making the payment.  - Ensure Service tax return is filed on time as per the due date prescribed under the law.  - Study the process and identify the areas for improvement in compliance.  - Work closely with Tax, billing teams and Procurement Organization to drive compliance improvements.  - Hands on knowledge on SEZ/STPI rules and tax benefits related to the same.  - Collating and coordinating for the audits from the department.  - Month end accounting related to Service tax, provisioning etc.  - Schedule preparation related to Service tax GLs for review and highlight exceptions.  Skills required:  - Drive strong controls and compliance culture and strengthen the IDT team.  - Basic knowledge about the provisions of GST act and rules.  Minimum requirements:  - Qualified Finance Professionals, Chartered Accountant or ICWA is highly desirable  - Fluent (oral & writing) in English and Hindi.   - Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in a business/financial capacity within a blue-chip multinational environment  - Excellent analytical & communication skills  - Ability to interpret the law and communicate to the users.   - Knowledge of local language ie Kannada is highly desirable but not essential.
