The Director of Research (Retail) is a leadership role within our research practice that is responsible for development and execution of the research agenda in the Retail industry. This role will be attached to a leading retail industry business-technology research and analyst firm.
The candidate should have strong domain expertise in the Retail industry and should have led research/consulting programs with leading US retailers. For an interested and motivated candidate, the role also offers a growth path towards business ownership of the research practice.
Key Goals & KPIs :
- On-Time execution of all research programs
- Ensure that all client deliverables are of the highest quality
- High customer satisfaction % for all research programs delivered
- Frequency of publishing thought leadership content
Responsibilities :
- End to end ownership of research programs/consulting assignment
- Create high-quality thought leadership content and publish those regularly
- Improve existing research processes and templates
- Assist the business development team in market development
- Help create new research offerings
- Participate in industry events/conferences/web seminars
- Manage and groom a team of research analysts
Requirements :
- 10+ years of relevant experience in research or consulting
- Strong domain experience in consumer industries (Retail and Consumer Goods)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, critical and creative thinking skills
- Ability to lead and manage a globally distributed team
