Position Title : Global Controller  Role type : Team Leadership role  Reporting to : CFO & CIO  Role Summary / Purpose :   - This person will work very closely across functional leaders to provide financial leadership and statutory compliance. He/she will lead and be accountable to provide financial visibility, transparency and oversight to into all relevant financial processes from manufacturing to fulfillment.   - Functionally, he/she will work closely with CFO to develop financial processes, rigor and discipline for long term sustainable growth of the company.   Essential Responsibilities :   - Full ownership of finance related items for monthly reporting, compliance to Indian GAAP and getting the company ready to embrace Ind AS.   - Co-ordinate with various functional teams to resolve any financial bottlenecks and be a business partner to explain the financials to teams with non - finance background.   - Liaise and fully own the relationships with External Statutory auditors, Internal auditors and implement processes and policies to safeguard assets and prepare financial statements to ensure accurate reporting.  - Ensure effective finance processes (example Account rec process)  - Own the Month end, quarter end and Year end procedures  - Business partner for production and manufacturing teams.  - Ownership for requirements related to board meetings etc.   - Taxation matters (Including TDS, VAT, Excise, Customs etc), work with external consultants as required  - Ensure compliance on Sales/Revenue recognition. Indian GAAP and other GAAP as applicable. Set up processes, reporting rhythms and systems accordingly. (E.g. Rev rec based on PoD)  - Develop P&L forecasts for items relevant to commercial teams (Orders, Sales, Inventory, Sales & Distribution expenses etc.)   - Partner with CFO to execute initiatives as required  - Training to immediate and 1-1 team members to enable an effective and world class commercial finance organization. Closely work with IT team to drive productivity across the team and for the organization.   Qualifications / Requirements :  - CA /MBA in Finance. Experience in Indirect taxation an advantage..   - 7-9 years of relevant work experience in Controllership (Preferably in an MNC)  - Prior experience in dealing with International Banking & Trade practices would be a plus   - Qualified Company secretary would be a plus. (ACS membership)  Desired Characteristics :  - Excellent analytical skills, able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers and drive positive change  - Clear thinking/problem solving, able to lead projects/process improvement within operations/finance function  - Able to break down complex issues into simpler steps and resolve them  - Fluent in written and verbal English communication  - Excellent presentation skills and strong executive presence  - Ability to prioritize & promote teamwork  - Willing to participate and engage in operations in addition to finance  - Excellent grasp over MS Excel and MS power point  - Should be flexible, willing to stretch and achieve over and above base expectations.
