WORK EXPERIENCE (JOB SPECIFICATIONS) : 6+ years of professional experience including more than 3 years of current experience in internal audit / operational audit and/or previous experience in analyzing business processes;   Experience in leading and executing the assignments independently  Familiarity with IT tools, spreadsheets and data analytical tools. Exposure in SAP or any major ERP  Strong proficiency in basic PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a general understanding of data analysis techniques  Knowledge of the regulatory framework   Chartered Accountant ( 2007 November to 2009 May Batch)  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (JOB DESCRIPTION) :-  - Completion of Whirlpool Sarbanes Oxley 404 obligations, performing process write up, walkthroughs, testing, advising on remediation. Also, reviewing control testing papers prepared by team members.  - Participate in formulation of the audit plans.  - Assist/prepare audit planning memorandum and prepare/tailor audit programs. The audit program will include the assessment of internal control design, operating effectiveness and overall control environment effectiveness.  - Leading the assigned Internal Audit projects  - Prepare concise & effective written reports, identify deficiencies and make practical recommendations for corrective action.  - Leading assigned process studies, identifying process improvement suggestions and preparation of standard operating procedures  - Discuss control improvements, risks and suggestions with superiors and management. Interface with the business for rigorous follow up for implementation of the recommendation and providing support for the same.  - Demonstrating awareness of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing as promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors  - Demonstrating the ability to research issues, trends, etc. via external sources  - Contribute to periodic Audit Committee reporting process  - And most important - be a change agent!  OTHER ATTRIBUTES :-  Team player  Can handle complex / unstructured tasks  A good general understanding of business dynamics and operations  Ability to think independently and be a thought leader, professional demeanor, a can-do attitude and other qualities that include decisiveness, self-initiative and high energy  Willing to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines   25 - 30% travel.
