Purpose of the role:

Whirlpool is looking for candidates whose process insights, design and execution capability will enable:

- Effectively manage how talent enters, moves across, up or out of organization to develop the most effective placement of skills and capabilities to meet the organization's key objectives.

- Whirlpool to have the right structure, processes, tools, talent, rewards and management systems to meet the organization's objectives.

- Effective management of the Campus Program

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Management:

- Support in developing the talent strategy for the organization based on organizational capability requirements to align with the business strategy.

- Help in evaluating the outcome of talent management systems, programs, processes, policies and continually refine them to align with the demands of the business and to ensure consistency and fairness to all employees.

- Monitor all talent management initiatives for consistency and fairness to all employees

- Support development and refinement of the competency framework (behavioral and functional) across functions

- Facilitate analysis of internal and external demographic trends, identify competency gaps, develop, and execute plans to address identified issues appropriately

- Develop linkages for succession planning, development and business objectives

- Identifying of critical positions and ensuring succession planning for each of the identified critical positions

- Facilitate segmenting the talent pool into investment category and managing investment in each category through appropriate actions

- Support in designing and implementing career paths, development and retention actions for key players. This will ensure that we leverage talent as key lever to achieve our global objectives and focus being on development process of identified succession candidates.

Young Leaders Program:

- Position Whirlpool as an Employer of Choice across Campuses - Engineering and MBA

- Design effective talent management framework for Campus Hires - Onboarding to Graduation

- Responsible for engagement and retention of all Campus hires via designing effective career paths, interventions to manage gaps in their development journey

- Hand holding the Young Leaders (Campus Hires) through one on one discussions and other relevant framework throughout their traineeship

- Independent stakeholder management with all internal and external customers to build on the strong brand of Young Leaders Program

- Mapping out and creating internal sponsors for Young Leaders post completion of their traineeship

Experience Required:

An MBA-HR from premier institute. (Batch 2011 or 2012 only)

Scenario 1:

- Stint in a Consulting Company with projects on TM.

Scenario 2:

- Specialist role in Talent Management

The incumbent should possess the following:

- Thought Leadership: Consistently adds value with his/her thinking

- Consistently challenges the status quo and orthodoxies

- Engages the best thinking of not only self but others as well

- Strategy execution - Bias towards action coupled with design
