Whatfix is looking for a rockstar to lead our accounting and finance efforts. We're looking for that perfect candidate who is a strategic thinker, very well-versed in Finance Controlling, as thoughtful about accounting matters as he / she is about business matters, but not above rolling up his / her sleeves and getting into the details with us including but not limited to developing and implementing goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management and accounting. Since we have a small Finance team right now that is supporting a growing organization, we need someone who isn't afraid to be hands on with day to day operations until we build out our team.  About Whatfix:  Founded in 2013, by Khadim Batti and Vara Kumar Namburu, Whatfix enhances self-service capability of web products and helps companies to reduce support queries and improve user engagement. It is a cloud platform using which product teams can self-curate interactive guides & integrate across all user touchpoints.  Whatfix is based on patent-pending technology and being used by large as well as small enterprises for improving training effectiveness, enhancing customer support, and to improve user on-boarding.  What we expect of you and you should have done in the past :   - Oversee the financial integrity and transparency of financial reporting.  - Ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory & tax bodies.  - Co-ordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.  - Working across business functions/departments to allocate budgets and monitor ROI - CAC, LTV, Churn etc.  - Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls.  - Ensure records & systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. .  - Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.  - Streamlining sales and receivables collection operations to enable aggressive growth.  - Develop and maintain strong and consistent accounting and closing procedures that support both business and corporate requirements  - Conduct balance sheet and account reconciliation reviews with all locations  - Drive Finance automation initiatives.  - Co-ordinate audit activity & provide necessary inputs.  - Communication with banks & being maker of transactions.  - Knowledge of tracking accounts payable & handling imports.  - Vendor negotiation.  - Manage & grow finance and admin functions.  - Interface with company secretary & track the activities.  - Communicate with shareholders.  - Ensuring labor law compliance is duly followed.  - Providing inputs for fund raise & leading diligence activities.  - Managing RBI regulations around foreign investments.  Basic Qualification:  - Chartered Accountant and/or MBA (Finance) with 3+ years of post qualification experience.  - Hands on or consulting experience with corporate finance  - Ability to work in fast paced, growing startup and building finance function ground up.  - Prior experience in a SAAS company and/or a startup is a bonus.  - Having experience to oversee HR & Admin function would be an added advantage.  - Excellent communication skills  We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
