The candidate should have strong skills in at least one of each bullet points and knowledge of the others, as well as have a good understanding of Enterprise Architecture methodology.

- Demonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues

- Intimate Knowledge of the Unix Operating System and system administration best practices

- Expert scripting capabilities in PERL, BASH, Python, TCL/TK

- Understanding of Oracle and Sybase Server database installation and design

Strong knowledge of File system/Volume Management software (VERITAS , RH LVM)

- A solid understanding and working experience in LDAP and Active Directory

- 10+ years hands-on experience supporting: Unix Solaris8 8/10 and RH4/5

- 4+ years hands-on experience supporting: Solaris10 and RH5/6

- Experience supporting: HP or equivalent Intel/AMD based servers

- Experience in small to large scale system projects including full development lifecycle and structured trouble shooting analysis skills

- A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, and the design of consistent network-wide file system layout

- Ability to troubleshoot software / hardware configuration problems
