A Leading e commerce Start up is looking for Vice President Transport

ROLE PURPOSE:

- To strategize and manage the processes of Transportation into and from multiple DCs, control the end to end TAT and interim process TAT, continuous implement initiative implementation, change management, operational deliverables management, 3PL management, outliers management, lead and lag indicators management, lean management, Cost & Claims management and Information supply chain management.

- New vendor appointment and build innovation in technology mapped transport solutions

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Leads the India strategy for Transportation through own and 3PL capabilities

- Manages the workforce related to Transport projects the HR related aspects

- To comprehend and enhance supply chain processes by examining inefficiencies through the use of a variety of analytical and quantitative methods.

- Gather, compile and analyze all relevant information, including procurement metrics, distribution data, productivity and customer demand and develops solutions for them.

- Conducts customer interviews and induces continuous improvement

- Develops and evaluates alternative strategies with Lean initiatives

- Develop and maintain detailed reports of findings and routinely report to company management, making recommendations as necessary.

- Strong focus on delivering improvement solutions that meet and exceed organizations operational expectations

- Ability to identify Delivery business challenges and translate them into requirements and solutions

- A comfort level working across the spectrum of supply chain strategy, process improvement, and technology implementation

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge:

- In-depth understanding of general supply chain and transport processes including engineering, contract management

- Thorough appreciation and expertise in 3PL Logistics and Distribution Service provision.

- Excellent knowledge of the verticals like eCommerce, Healthcare, HVCG and Hi Tech.

- Exposed to wide range of TMS technology tools

- Excellent knowledge and comprehensive experience with current Transportation modeling and optimization tools and demographic knowledge of India

- Excellent knowledge in costing & pricing with exposure to ROI, EBITDA, EVA, CAPEX methods

Skills:

- Forward thinkers with exceptional planning skills

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing in English

- Attention to detail, strong problem solving skills and technological proficiency

- Good computer skills

- Must be a good team member and able to motivate and inspire the best in others

Experience:

- Experience in the application of Logistics Solutions across a broad range of Business sectors and disciplines including, but not limited to, optimized Transport operations and Distribution networking for Organized retail, eCommerce, Health care, HVCG and Hi Tech.

- 12-17 years of Transport Management experience
