VP - Technology/Engineering - Startup (15-20 yrs)

One of our clients is looking for VP - Engineering.

Its a US based Start up.

Responsibilities:

- A successful VP/Director of Engineering will

- As a key member of the executive team, work with Product Management, Marketing, Client Services and Sales to deliver new, compelling products to market.

- Ship great products under stringent deadlines and in the face of ambiguous requirements and changing business priorities.

- Attract talent, hire the very best and grow teams at a rapid pace. Grow the Engineering team to over 40 people in the next 12 months.

- Establish and grow strong competency in data science and statistical modeling

- Establish strong interlock with Sales teams to win new deals and Client Services teams to ensure customer success.

- Design enterprise-class technical architectures that support millions of transactions a day, with intraday updates to analytics systems

- Bring tested methodologies and tools of iterative, asynchronous development.

Qualification:

- 10-15 years of industry experience with 6+ years of experience leading engineering teams with over 30 SDEs

- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer in top tier consumer internet or enterprise SaaS. Previous experience in a start-up a big plus

- BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar degree from a top tier institution. PhD is a big plus.

- Hands-on experience in building large scale distributed systems with AWS. Experience in building highly scalable Enterprise SaaS software is a big plus.

- Exceptional leadership skills and proven experience in shaping team culture

- Proven ability to headhunt, attract, retain, coach engineering talent from top companies and universities

- Strong analytical skills and passionate about answering questions with data
