Position : VP/SVP (Legal)

Reporting To : Group Legal Head / CEO

Qualification : LLB and CS

Experience : 15-20 years

Position Summary : Lead the legal function for Rentco Business

Job Responsibility :

Indicative only :

Documentation/ Due Diligence :

- Vetting/Drafting of MoUs, LOI, EOI, Leave and License agreement, Agreement to Lease, lease deeds for office/Retail spaces.

- Drafting of replies to various letters received from the Lessee's in respect of the Leased Premises.

- Examining issues referred by the marketing and providing legal opinions during the various phases of the closure of the deal and complete documentation process.

- Conducting client conferencing regarding the provision of lease agreements.

- Make negotiations smoother by presenting legal aspects to the clients

- Preparing the Head of Terms while a new client is being pitched for.

- Oversee Due Diligence.

Litigation :

- Handle critical litigation at various level pertaining to Business Unit

- Supervise, Support & provide guidance in all arbitration cases

- Manage & Coordinate with panel of external legal counsels & law firms at various levels.

Compliance Management :

- Ensure all Regulatory & Legal compliance's: Liaison with Statutory & Regulatory authorities, clearances, approvals, sanctions, permissions and other statutory compliance related works.

- Keep abreast of changes in laws or on application of new laws/regulations/ & the impact of the same on compliance needs & by advising on how to resolve compliance issues that are likely to arise from time to time.

Team Development & Management :

- Support, motivate & develop team members to enable them to perform to their potential to deliver desired results at work.

Competencies Required : Good Communication, Disciplined, Leadership, Inter-personal Relations, Good drafting skills, Ability to research legal issues and analyse.
