VP/SVP - Legal Compliance - LLB - BFSI/KPO (10-15 yrs)

- Providing guidance/ assistance/ leadership in legal risk management, advisory, documentation & dispute management as well as engaging with the Organizations India governance framework to ensure necessary, appropriate and proper legal risk assessment approach & tools and a healthy legal compliance environment

- Provide clear and timely advise/ guidance/ leadership to management, businesses and functions, and work closely with Organizations India Legal team on the legal matters of the company

- Articulate the legal and regulatory requirements clearly and develop implementation & review strategy, (whether in terms of legal risk management, legal advice, documentation or dispute management), in close association with management, Heads, business & function heads and Organizations Indian Legal team, in line with Organizations global/regional/local policies & procedures

- Develop a thorough understanding on the businesses, sand functional/governance coverage requirements so as to comprehensively assess the impact including of changes in the legal and regulatory regime.

- Strengthen the existing legal risk governance framework that integrates legal compliance with the business model

- Provide clear and timely advise/ guidance/ leadership to management, businesses and functions, and work closely with Organizations Indian Legal team on the legal matters

- Review / Improve / Enhance internal policies / procedures/documentation in accordance with Legal and regulatory requirements on an ongoing basis

- Timely escalation, both in-country and to the region, where necessary on significant legal risk items, and identifying remediation or mitigation measures for such legal risk items

- Imparting training on a continual basis to management, and employees on critical and sensitive aspects related to legal risk and legal compliance matters.

- Provide timely advice to the management on varied aspects requiring adherence by from legal perspective.

- Handle & review the contracts, claims, disputes or litigation matters on a regular basis and provide updates on the same to management on the legal remedies, legal risk management and actionable taken and/or contemplated to be taken

- To assist on Organizations India, and other affiliate matters on a regular/need basis

- Drive a strong legal compliance and control culture across, functions and businesses housed within the organization

- Ensuring a no surprise policy through timely escalation

- Proactive Anticipation/identification of legal issues, evaluate legal risks and provide advice / institute measures to protect the interests of the division

- Effectively advice on legal/documentation requirements and efficiently manage claims, disputes &litigation matters, in a cost efficient manner

Candidates must be a Law graduate

Experience:

- 10-15 years experience with captive BPO / BPO as a legal functionary, and managerial experience

- Ability to comprehend / analyze / guide on legal issues on a timely basis.

- Should have a keen eye for detail

- Should have the ability to engage and put across his/her point of view constructively, to colleagues, peers &seniors

- Should have good communication and presentation skills

- Should be a good team leader & team player
