We are currently looking out for a suitable candidate for the position of "VP / Senior VP- Finance" with a leading media company in Mumbai.(Listed)

We are preferably looking for candidates who should have worked atleast once with a listed company in their career. We are open to candidates from any industry working witha well- known company or MNC's or Listed Indian companies..

Job Location : Mumbai (ANDHERI - West)

Designation : Vice President

Reporting To : CFO – BTL

Required : Chartered Accountant

Experience : Post Qualification - 10 - 12 years (minimum)

Salary : As per industry standards

Team Size : 4 - 5

Job Description:

The vacancy is for a large Mumbai-based media house which has incubated a media-focused private equity fund, focusing on India and other emerging markets.

JD Summary:

- At-least CA

- Post qualification experience of at-least 10-12 years

- Preferably from Media Sector / MNC / Listed Company

- Should have excellent knowledge about the listing requirements, accounting standards, companies act, working knowledge about taxation.

- Should have worked with business heads – need to have business experience with analytical skills, worked on board related matters

- Good communication skills

Job Roles / Responsibilities:

The VP will be responsible for the overall integrity and accuracy of the financial and accounting information.

Key responsibilities include:

- Setting-up accounting/financial systems and processes which ensure integrity of the financials.

- Setting-up financial review processes to ensure appropriate levels of control

- Setting-up MIS processes to ensure the business partners (all division CEOs) are supported with adequate and relevant information

- Closing the financials (income statements and balance sheets) on a monthly basis;

- Analyzing financial information and tracking variances versus budgets/plans

- Periodic reporting of management information and KPI's

- Managing the accounts payables and accounts receivables

- Recording and managing the revenue collections

- Supporting the audit process (through external auditors) of company's accounts

Key Skill Set:

- Sound accounting knowledge

- Should be acquainted with how a company’s finance function runs.

- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

- Working knowledge of or acquaintance with Tally or any other Accounting Systems

- Good English Communication skills

- Ability to lead a team and effectively communicate with senior management

- Ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment

- Independent (can work under limited supervision)

- Ambitious and willing to make the extra effort to achieve his/her goals
