Job Description:  Expected experience >12 years  This Role:   - Has no direct reports and does not report to location lead  - Works closely with two or three co-located teams and their product owners  - Agile champion  - Facilitates agile meetings & ceremonies  - Develop an awareness of the team and its concerns  - Provide detailed feedback to the Location Lead on agile adoption, quality and productivity in the team  - Productivity Coach : identification and removal of waste  - Quality Coach  - Conflict Resolution  - Cross team information radiator  - Organizational impediment remover  - Studies industry innovations in people development, software engineering etc.  - Helps team members become multi-disciplined  - Educate the team and product owner on technical debt, how to avoid it and costs of not doing so.   Job Specifications:  - Senior VP role.   - Coaches up to 3 co-located feature teams and their associated product owners.  - Has no direct reports - able to collaborate effectively with teams but retain an independent and objective view of the team's adoption of agile, team productivity, quality of output and team dynamics.  Provides coaching in several areas:   - agile practice Scrum and Kanban   - quality improvement low defect leakage, maintainability, operability, performance  - productivity improvement shorter time to market, multi-skilled individuals, tool selection, lab day etc.  - team dynamics mentoring, conflict resolution, people development etc.  - Passion for learning - uses a wide ranges of resources including books and articles, training and seminars.  - Good understanding of design and development patterns and anti-patterns.  - Good java background - understanding OO development and the pitfalls of using java like a procedural language.  - Understand or become knowledgeable about the non-java technologies in your location e.g. Database, Python etc.  - Agile values are ingrained rather than a superficial understanding of agile terminology. This means they stand firm when asked to do or see others doing things that conflict with these values.  - An ability to influence beyond the feature teams to remove organisational impediments.   Key Skills:   - Certified Scrum Master with extensive experience in agile methodologies  - Java/J2EE, extensive hands-on experience with XMLs and XSLTs.  - Sound working knowledge of Solaris and Linux platforms.  - Systems Engineering  - Systems/Unit Testing  - Programming Languages  - Performance Engineering  - Risk Management  - Logical Thinking  - Thoroughness  - Systems Thinking  - Certified Scrum Master  Technical Skills:   - Linux, Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Shell Scripting, Sybase/Oracle SQL  Nice to have skills:  - Alacrity, Jira, TQT, Clearcase, Apache, Tomcat, GCC, Solaris, Cruise Control , Derivatives business knowledge  Experience:  - Previous technical knowledge of support systems will be advantageous  - Previous exposure to Investment Banking life cycle activities desirable
