“VP of Business Dev and Sales – Mumbai” for a Social Media Organisation based out of US

Target Companies :Dotcoms, Digital Media, Social Media.

Job Description

- The candidate will be responsible for securing engagements for the company’s online marketing and social media products and services.

- Act as a Social Media and Internet marketing expert and represent the company infront of clients.

- Consult with company officials, sales departments, and advertising agencies in order to develop promotional plans. Develop, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with clients.

- Meet sales goals, develop account strategy, negotiate price, sell to customer needs, sales planning, manage processes, maintain sales reports, develop market and competitor knowledge, develop budgets, deliver presentations to customers, and create sales proposals and respond to RFP'S, RFQ'S, and RFI'S (Requests for Proposals, Quotes and Information)

- To brainstorm & understand company’s & client’s marketing & communication needs and execute advised strategies.

- To ensure consistency in branding and promotion of company or client products.

- To build strategies and proposals for implementing effective social media marketing campaigns for existing and new clients.

- Develop, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with current and prospective clients.

- Entire gamut of BD & Sales - Lead Generation, Proposal Coordination, Channel Mgt, Business Acquisition.

- It would be expected that individual would lead the sales organization by example. This individual should be able to hit the ground running and generate revenues himself/herself.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Has held significant product sales and sales management knowledge within a professional career of 5-8 years.

- Selling experience must be in a business-to-business environment as well as with government entities with a relatively complex selling process.

- Has extensive experience selling and building effective relationships at the senior level e.g. CEO, CIO within client organizations as well as ability to work in government bureaucracies.

- Must have experience in managing and building strategic partnership.

- Must have domain expertise in the area of Online and Social Media Marketing.

- Must have, excellent understanding of the market place in India and surrounding markets for these applications.

- Must have a proven track record in selling & Extensive experience in selling through channel partnerships.

- IT Knowledge is a must

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
Masters Degree in management. (Preferred)
