VP - Reference Data - Investment Banking

Role & responsibility -

The team that the candidate oversees is tasked with the following :

1. Production of standard daily/weekly/monthly reporting across One Bank – This also entails

a. Automation , standardisation and efficiency around reporting , consistent methodologies , synchronization globally for formats, introducing self-service models to the Front

b. Large Trades Analysis - Review the large trades report prepared by the team on a daily basis and ensure that feedback from traders/PC is interpreted and incorporated in the file correctly and regularly. To tap on various sources such as PC daily commentaries, GPL etc. to understand trade bookings.

c. Month end Sign off Processes for KAM program

2. Data Integrity/Quality – This also includes

a. To ensure that data reported across all the dashboards and the IB Client Revenue systems is consistent on a daily basis. To perform daily data and ref data checks upon batch completion and establish a checklist for the same. This would also entail active co ordination with Tech so that any data issues are flagged to the tech team immediately and followed through to resolution.

b. Exceptions Monitoring - To ensure that all exceptions and ignored trades are being monitored and cleared from these tables wherever applicable

c. To prepare a report whereby the cRev calcs flowing through from the upstream system are referenced back and checked against the policy schedules.

3. Reference Data Maintenance – This also includes

a. Coverage Maintenance across Fixed Income, Equity and IBD

b. Team Structure Set ups and Entitlements

Minimum requirement - University degree majoring in accountancy or finance

Techincal requirements

- Advanced Excel skills

- Medium Business Objects skills

- Medium Microsoft Access skills

- Advanced understanding of the working of all areas of an Investment Bank and Financial Markets
