VP Projects / Business Consulting - Retail Banking Analytics for an MNC Bank.

Job Description:

This role is to support Retail Risk by handling complex operational demands and develop sustained processes to strengthen the project management and Risk Management mechanism capabilities working in coordination with internal and external constituencies.

Projects and analysis:

- Identify key operational challenges and formulate initiates to minimize them, garners support from relevant stakeholders and tracks & monitor progress.

- Act as project manager for identified strategic initiatives ensuring follow-through and sustaining momentum needed to drive initiatives to completion.

- Direct and manage aspects of Operations Analytics and also own understanding and assessment of operational risks and controls

- Delivering measurable improvements as a direct result of project deliverables and implementation on the Data and MI programme of work. This will include process re-engineering and process management within RBWM Credit Risk

- Partner with business leaders including local HR/ Business Management colleagues to sometimes drive people strategies along with appropriate organizational effectiveness interventions when required.

- Provide ongoing analysis and decision support to improve productivity and governance.

Customers / Stakeholders:

- Strong project management and delivery focus

- Demonstrated ability to deal with highly confidential information and act as a liaison between leadership team and other constituencies, both internal and external.

- Role requires regular interaction and working with senior members (Band 4 and above) with Analytics team and Business Side and across regions.

Skills & Experience:

- B.Tech / MBA from a premier School.

- Minimum experience of 12 - 15 years having experience in driving projects in Analytics domain in the Banking vertical demonstrating strong trouble shooting and creative solution skills.

- Project management background.

- Global mindset, ability to manage and collaborate across a broad and diverse global team

- Excellent communication skills and project management skills.

- Strong analytical skills with an ability to grasp new concepts quickly.

- Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to identify trends/issues and follow-up/escalate as appropriate

- Personal impact/ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at senior levels in the organization

- Experience in banking/financial services industry.
