About our Client - Our client is a leading MNC bank having a huge market capitalization. Their captive unit in India is now supporting their global operations. Being regarded as one of the most sustainable banks in the APAC region, they are now seeking a VP-Project Accounting to be based out of Bangalore.

Job Description - Reporting to the Head of Project Accounting, your key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring a robust balance sheet reconciliation and month-end process is in place

- Performing analytical review of project financials, prior to distribution to on-shore stakeholders

- Owning the relationship while acting as the escalation/engagement point for the on-shore global project accounting team

- Building collaborative relationships with other finance functions and other management functions in order to enable effective exchange of information required to support the broad financial control activities

- Ensuring continuous financial support along with strategic recommendation within the time span of project implementation to project completion

- Embed simplification, standardization and elimination of financial control activities/processes where appropriate

- Responding and reacting to auditor requests and queries on a timely basis

- Ensuring compliance with all applicable reporting requirements (both internal and external)

The Successful Candidate - As an ideal candidate, you are a chartered accountant (CA) with 10-14 years of post qualification experience. Prior associations in project accounting/project finance management within a shared services setup of an MNC bank/insurance environment would be highly advantageous in terms of fitment. Strong people management, interpersonal skills and experience in working with on-shore teams is preferred along with working knowledge of IFRS
