VP - Global Equities/Electronic Trading Lead

Job Description:

- The opportunity to work in a combination of qualitative/quantitative role that supports Electronic Trading and the Global Equities business, encompassing support of sales and trading for the company’s institutional equity clients.

- This position will be based out of Knowledge Services Center India. Required to support the Global Equities Electronic Trading business by providing input and analysis on macroeconomic markets and distribute factual summaries and trade ideas with analysis to clients.

- Focus on model building and refinement and validation, Testing Frameworks and Back-Testing of Trading Strategies. Provide support to clients transaction cost analysis, trading portfolio optimization and client solutions functions.

- The leader will support Global Equities Electronic Trading business and supervise and manage junior staff.

- Responsibilities will include People Management, Process Management and Partner Management.

Responsibilities:

- Grow and build out various capabilities so as to expand Global Equities support practice in India to complement the activities of the current team across regions (AMRS, EMEA & APAC)

- Provide guidance and develop the offshore teams – Electronic Trading capability to support the enterprise needs

- Ensure smooth operations and service delivery

- Liaising and building relationships with senior management globally to build the capabilities

- Interface with various Line of Businesses and ensure stakeholder satisfaction

- Report periodically for various initiatives/projects from different Lines of Businesses, Compliance and Operational Risk teams

- Communicate complex concepts and the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner

- Hiring, on-boarding, training and managing of the employees

Requirements:

- Strong academic background i.e. MBA (Finance) from top tier institute combined with Technology background with relevant certifications

- Minimum 12 years of experience in relevant industry of which 7-8 should be in electronic trading/global equities domain. Algo Development, Quantitative Modeling, Program Trading

- Proficiency with tools, frameworks and business/technology trends relevant to Equities Electronic Trading

- Strong Analytics background to support Transactional cost Analysis (TCA), Trading execution optimization, alpha maximization, and Trade execution advisory

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with onshore partners

- Comfortable interfacing with firm personnel at all levels on a range of issues

- Have a solution oriented approach to issues and business challenges.

- Able to demonstrate leadership, take initiative, strong work ethic and team focus

- Strong aptitude for rapidly absorbing the business context of problems and attention to detail

- Strong Risk Management focus and rigor
