VP/Director - Learning Solutions - K-12 Education Sector (20-25 yrs)
Job Title: VP/Director-Learning Solutions
Role:
This is the leadership position in the K-12 education sector for South Asia. The VP/Director-Learning Solutions would be leading a team responsible for Content Development, Copyrights & Permissions, Creative Services, Project Management, Editorial Shared Services(Quality Assurance/Quality Control) and Product & Technology which ensures the development of quality learning solution products (print and digital) in line with Company's Learning strategies.
The responsibilities include:
To lead in conjunction with the Board, the development of ILPL strategies.
To lead and oversee the implementation of ILPL's long and short term plans in accordance with the strategies.
Defining processes, guidelines and standards in consultation with the Client's US Editorial team
Reviewing acquired content, and ensuring compliance to local and global editorial standards and curriculum frameworks.
Creating and managing the overall development plan for learning solution products over a rolling three-year horizon
Projecting, tracking and controlling expenses in line with pre-approved budgets
Identifying and negotiating with authors, reviewers and other parties
Coordinating with, mentoring and leading a team of Directors/ Managing Editors/Senior editors/editors/proofreaders/typesetters
Working in close coordination with the editorial team on all deliverables related to learning solutions
Collaborating with the regional product management, technology, learning design, media, and quality assurance functions to establish market leadership in the K-12 space in India
Managing deadlines and schedules with zero compromise on quality
Managing the publication process efficiently and cost-effectively
Applying creativity and innovation to ensure product differentiation and quality worthy of the brand
Qualifications and experience:
Experience: 20+ years of progressive experience in the K-12 publishing industry.
Ph.D or Post Graduate degree in any discipline from a reputed college/university
Skills/Knowledge:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent leadership and management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Understanding of pedagogy
Understanding of quality management principles
Experience in working with global, regional and local teams and stakeholders
Past experience of managing content build plans as per cost, schedule and quality KPIs
A proactive and flexible approach to work with a strong work ethic
Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines
Ability to inspire teams towards leveraging each team member's potential in organization building
