We are hiring for Risk engine profile.

Job Requisition Details :

Role Description :

The Risk Engine Utility P&L team is responsible for producing T0 and or T&1 risk & PnL reports for their respective trading desk. They ensure that the risk drivers are understood and any risk move is explained & validated. PnL is explained through attribution analysis. This role requires front to back understanding of various financial products and trade life cycle. Team manager and above are expected to comprehend structures and trading strategies.

Key functions include :

- Daily production and analysis of risk and PnL for Rates and Emerging Market (EM) debt business.

- Liaise with the trading desk to explain risk and PnL move and obtain trader sign off.

- Ability to price various financial products using DB analytics tools.

- Understanding various components of Risk Engine (valuation platform), work may involve configuring risk and pricing dictionaries.

- Understanding of financial product types and their associated risks as well as major industry pricing models and discounting methodologies.

- Understanding of market data errors impacting risk and PV and their resolution in a timely manner.

- PV/MTM adjustments, Cash breaks, Market Var outliers and Market Confirmation exceptions are resolved within the agreed deadlines.

- Ensure KRI's and KPIs are closely monitored.

- Participate in change the bank (CTB) initiatives of the team as well as domain-wide.

- Stakeholder management by liaising with traders, market risk, finance, GVG, business & financial control and resolving their queries in a timely manner.

- Ability to mentor and coach the new joiners.

Key Competencies :

Proven track record in delivery of Risk and Pnl to Front office with clear evidence of :

- Problem solving

- Ability to Fix analytical issues

- Build & maintain strong relationships with Trading desk and on-shore partners.

Experienced in the financial services industry with strengths including the ability to review and analyze daily economic movements of Rates & Credit derivatives and other financial instruments based on the current market news for accurate reporting.

Proven Change Agent - able to demonstrate delivery of a change initiative and challenges operating model - identify process improvements and work with both business and support partners to enhance effectiveness of control environment and improve accuracy and granularity of Risk and Pnl.

Familiarity with complex and exotic trade types and their associated risks a distinct advantage, as well as major industry pricing models and discounting methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills :

- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Mathematics, Engineering, IT, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, or equivalent.

- Accountancy Qualification - desirable but not essential

- CFA/MBA in finance - desirable but not essential.

- Required skill(s) : Accounting and financial analysis, reporting, profit and loss (PnL), cost reconciliation, management information system, Risk Management.

- Required language : English

- Computer-literate and skilled in MS Office applications (with particular emphasis on Excel)

- Team worker, able to work in virtual global teams and in a matrix organisation

- Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members

- Flexibility regarding problem solving

- Keeps pace with technical innovation and market driven initiatives
