VICE PRESIDENT - Policy & Acc // FINANCE DEPT  The jobholder (VP) is expected to be a team leader of a group of professional chartered accountants and take responsibility of error free and timely financial reporting as per the group reporting guidelines under IFRS, local accounting standards and Ind AS. He/She will be required to provide accounting guidance/policy support for new products. He/she is expected to be abreast with the constant changes to these standards/requirements.  This is a role within the financial reporting team of finance, which is responsible for preparation and initial review of various returns/reporting to be submitted to the group which includes the P&L and Balance Sheet of the Bank and also financial statements to RBI under local GAAP and Ind AS.  During preparation/review of the various returns the job holder would engage with various business groups and functions. He/she is expected to have a good working relationship with their respective counterparts in these businesses/functions. They would be expected to work in a cohesive manner to ensure that returns are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.  The jobholder is required to work closely with other team members, mainly AVP/Managers. He/She is required to train them and promote e-learning needs.  In the role the jobholder will prepare opinions on the accounting treatment for a range of accounting areas for the review and sign off by line manager and Chief Accounting Officer. Areas include structural changes and a range of complex financial instrument products under two different accounting frameworks, the future local adoption of IFRS in India, the adoption of the upcoming significant changes in IFRS for Regional/Group reporting in India, and acquisition/disposal transactions due diligence.  Qualifications  Qualified CA - With over 5 years post qualification experience.  Over 5 years- experience with or in banks or other financial institutions.  Over 3 years- experience working with or in foreign/international banks.  Excellent knowledge of Indian and International Accounting Standards as they relate to banks.  Good understanding of banking business model and products, and the implications for the accounting treatment.  Strong communication and presentation skills.
