KEY DELIVERABLES
(A) Safety
1. To create S.H.E. plan, ensure communication & implementation at organization level.
2. H.S.E policy formation.
3. Assess risks towards S.H.E. & implement preventive measures to avoid the risks
4. To provide leadership towards achieving a highly safe working environment across the company – i.e. culture of ‘zero tolerance’ for unsafe practices.
5. To provide strategic intent & guidance for preparation of Safety manual.
6. To carryout training sessions, implementations of Best Practices across Voltas.
7. To arrange and co-ordinate meetings of the SHE Board sub Committee and to implement its decisions.
8. To build a safety team at the Business Units/Plants to continually improve Safety standards.
(B) Health
- To work closely with HR to facilitate various programs and initiatives for the health and well being of the workforce.
- Facilitate implementation of SHE Board Committee decisions in this area.
(C) Environment
- To carry out Carbon Footprint and Water Footprint Mapping / Assessment with the help of TQMS and to facilitate implementations of abetment strategies based on findings of the said studies.
- To identify specific initiatives and programs in the areas of Energy Conservation and Water Conservation as per Government guidelines and to facilitate implementation in the Company as part of Community initiatives.
- To co-ordinate and facilitate specific initiatives such as e-waste management
- To arrange for training programs to create internal resources in respect of SHE as champions.
- Annual/periodical reporting to bodies such as Carbon Disclosure Projects.
- To co-ordinate for the Group level related issues
ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES
- Should be Engineering Graduates Must have completed Diploma in Industrial Safety from State Recognized institute.
- Should have min 15-20 year’s exp in handling Safety Related responsibilities from Inception to Construction Phase. Should have done some large commercial projects in last 5 years.
- Should also have Exposure to Manufacturing organizations.
- Experience with building effective relationships and gaining the cooperation of a wide range of internal stakeholders at an executive level
- Demonstrated experience in effectively presenting information and recommendations at a senior level, with the ability to hold complex conversations and present clear and logical arguments and rationales.
- HSE champion with proven ability to lead successful change programs & initiatives within large organizations.
- Ability to provide sound advice and take ownership of issues.
