- The Business Excellence team at the VSSI drives continuous improvement though various quality initiatives and improvement programs/ projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of a world class shared services center.

A Business Excellence Manager, would be responsible for :

Role Purpose :

- Aligning and executing Business Excellence strategy for the assigned vertical

- Enhance value creation to the business through various improvement initiatives

- Driving improvement in Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators through mentoring and facilitating high impact Lean Six Sigma projects

- People capability development through training and certification of employees in Lean, Yellow Belt, Green Belt and Black Belt methodologies

- Ensure Governance of Business Excellence initiatives

- The role would require considerable people management skills along with strong understanding of continuous improvement process.

- The Job holder would need to ensure adherence to Internal Controls and BPMS norms relating to the continuous improvement process.

Key Responsibilities :

Implementating Business Excellence Strategy :

- Partner with the aligned vertical, business unit or Vodafone operating company as per the needs, manage BE specific strategic programs and achieve set objectives.

- Establish operational excellence roadmap along with functional leaders

- Initiate Green Belt/Black Belt projects

- Participate in accuracy improvements, productivity improvements, customer satisfaction projects

Improvement in Key Performance Indicators :

- Drive improvements in order to reach or exceed the agreed SLAs and KPIs with customers of the shared services center

Plan & Execute Continuous Improvement Projects :

- Execute cross functional projects to enhance value creation through positive impact in the areas of efficiency and effectiveness

- Achieve value addition. Efficiency, effectiveness targets as decided in CI / Strategic projects

Supporting Business strategic priorities and program deployment and Governance :

- Look after end to end governance of improvement projects from identification to certification and recognition

- Ensure project toll gate reviews and business partner reviews

People Capability Development :

- Carry out quality training to imbibe quality culture within the organization

- Carry out workshops on various quality improvement methodologies and drive root cause analysis culture

Leadership & Team work :

- To work closely with assigned Vertical Leadership to drive key initiatives

- Set up periodic and well defined governance mechanism to ensure alignment with leadership

- To contribute in over all Business Excellence team objectives and work as a team player

Innovation & Change :

- To drive ideations and innovations in the direction of value creation

- To look after small and big automation initiatives

- Facilitate new process development and changes in the existing set of process through innovations

Key Requirement :

- 10-12 Years of experience with at least 4-5 years experience in handling LSS Projects

- Should have experience and knowledge of LSS methodology

- Experience in KPO/BPO or shared services

- Exposure to Telecommunication field

- Certified Black Belt is a must

- Exposure to Project Management tools

- Independent driving of automation projects

- Trained/Certified on automation techniques

- Strong communication Skills

- Good Stakeholder management skills

- Engage with other shared services centers to replicate and adopt best practices
