Vodafone - Financial Planning & Analysis - Mpesa - CA/ICWA

Role purpose :

- Assess performance of the business by giving timely inputs on the cost KPIs by way of tracking the budget spend against each line, and raising the alarm in case of any budget default. He/ she needs to provide various analyses for cost KPIs which need attention on periodic basis.

- Act like a data bank for Mpesa corporate and Circle.

- The role would be a National Role for Reporting profile for M-Pesa business which includes preparing the various timely reports which will enable business to take right decision. Also, this profile will help FP&A head to highlight the setbacks or area of improvement to the business.

- The person in the role should be able to interact with circle and business team, viz., marketing & communications, customer services, HR, IT, etc.

- He/ she should have at least 3-4 years of experience in FP&A profile and preferably worked before in similar profile.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

Business development:

- Work closely with FP&A Head/ HOF and other functions in providing the timely and accurate information to the business

- Providing day to day analytics on business reporting, and highlighting the gaps to the business team

- Automation of existing reports, which will help the person to handle new requirement

- System evaluation for new developments.

- Excellent presentation skills required for internal review, Senior management reviews and Group presentations

MIS and Reporting:

- Ability to grasp the essentials of the business and develop relevant KPI helpful to drive business.

- Preparation of Operations report for the business with relevant insights

- Timely information in form of daily/ weekly/ Monthly reporting to all relevant stakeholders

Core competencies, knowledge and experience :

- Professional finance qualification with good understanding of accounting, preferably CA/ ICWA

- Excellent presentation and communication skills

- High degree of problem solving and number crunching

Must have technical / professional qualifications :

- CA/ ICWA with 3-4 years of post-qualification experience

- Advanced MS Office (including Excel, Access and Power-point) knowledge

- Past experience of FP&A or similar profile

Key performance indicators :

- Timely and accurate release of various reports as per the specified schedule.

- Quality of inputs provided to FP&A head/ HoF to help business improvement.
