VICE PRESIDENT- TRADE MIDDLE OFFICE  We have been retained by a foreign bank headquartered in Europe to identify a Vice President- Trade Middle Office to be based at Mumbai.  Job Purpose:  - To ensure minimization of risks in trade finance.  - To ensure MIS and Regulatory reporting pertaining to Trade Finance Unit.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  RISK MANAGEMENT:  - Identify and contain Operational risk areas within the Trade section.  - Put in place control mechanisms and ensure they are adhered to, report any incidents as part of the “Incidence Management System” and put in place appropriate measures to control any Incidents.  OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT:  - Supervise, Monitor, Control and Co-ordinate all Trade and Exchange activities at the Branch.  - Implement systems and procedures.  - Serve as single point contact between, Clients, Business Lines and Corporate Trade Exchange.  - Co ordinate with external agencies like RBI.  - Operations delivery, audit and processing of transactions within the agreed TAT.  - Handling operations related to Trade products like LCs, BGs, Imports & Exports etc.   - Handling Export Bill Negotiation/Discounting (with / without recourse).  CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CO-ORDINATION:  - Monitor turnaround times, operational efficiency levels of team members.  - Minimize error rates.  - Resolve customer complaints and queries.  - Ensure effective and efficient co-ordination with Corporate Trade Exchange.  - Contribute to cross-selling.  - Support Business Lines to address client needs and advise on technical issues.  COMPLIANCE:  - Review and monitor compliance with internal & external standards, including accounting standards.  - Coordinate with Corporate Trade Exchange for submission of returns on time.  - Adhering to UCPDC, URC, RBI and FEDAI guidelines and FEMA regulations in relation to Foreign Exchange transactions.  - Supervising and Controls on all Compliance related to Current and Capital account transactions.   - Liaising with Regulators/Statutory Authorities on Trade related matters  INFORMATION MANAGEMENT:  - Supervise preparation and submission of MIS and reports to management as required and to disseminate information to Team.  COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:  - Effective communication  - Internal and external regulations  - Internal accounting systems  - Internal packages  - Credit knowledge  - Knowledge of Forex Products and Operations  - Knowledge of FEMA, AML, UCP guidelines  - Familiarity with core banking system  Ideal candidates meeting with the above criteria should be CA’s or MBA’s with 8 to 12 years experience and must have a CDCS certification.  Interested candidates meeting with the above requirement may please respond with their updated resume, along with a scanned recent photograph, in word format.
