Required for a very large multinational conglomerate having multiple manufacturing sites in India and abroad. The position is for one of their units based in Madhya Pradesh. The unit has a manpower base of over 3000 employees and has own residential complex including facilities for schooling and other amenities.  Qualification: Chemical/Textile Engineering graduates from top grade colleges having experience in heavy chemicals/agro chemicals/cement etc as Head of Manufacturing. Salary shall commensurate with qualification and experience and shall not be a constraining factor.  Roles & Responsibilities:  - Optimizing production:   a) Ensure production is realized as per annual target, identify and direct removal of de-bottlenecks in order to achieve more than rated output.  b) Achievement of the production targets in terms of quantity, quality & delivery at optimum cost planning,  coordination and implementing various production activities.  c) Periodical reviews and ensuring timely corrective actions.  d) Review customer complaints and take relevant corrective actions.  - Optimizing Cost: Define, ensure, optimizing cost of consumption by planning and monitoring areas like raw material, fuel, power consumption with maximum output & quantity.  - Fulfillment of quality/product development: Plan, ensure satisfactory product quality with specified parameters and investigate customer complaints. Also ensure proper raw material and brand image, collaborate on new product development, product extension, product cost restructuring and reduced delivery time to market.  - Safety: Ensure safe and accident free working conditions and compliance with environmental standards   - Capex Job: Plan and implement schemes for up-gradation of plant/ processes on continuous basis to meet targets in an efficient manner and also improve profitability. Plan & execute new projects/ schemes  - Achieve best benchmarks established in the Group units and extend technical expertise to other units in India and abroad as and when required.  - Systems implementation: Organize implementation of ISO, EMS, OHSAS, SA 8000 & WCM concepts for working improvement in process control areas and also respective team areas.  - People Development: Develop and sustain an enabling work climate and motivated work force, ensuring knowledge up-gradation, employee growth with best in world class manufacturing and organizational practices.
