The Project

The Accounting Policy team within Finance Change is responsible for managing projects driven by changes in Accounting Policy, including both US GAAP and IFRS.

Presently the team is responsible for the delivery of:

- Revenue Recognition (US GAAP ASU 2014-09 and IFRS 15

- Classification & Measurement (US GAAP ASU 2016-01 and IFRS 9); and

- Leasing (US GAAP ASU 2016-02 and IFRS 16)

In addition the team is also involved in the Global IFRS 9 Impairment project.

The aim of the Accounting Policy projects is to implement the required systeand business process changes that will ensure Credit Suisse compliance. The scope of the projects extends from the Credit Suisse Group through to the many standalone entities that prepare IFRS financial statements.

Responsibilities :

The candidate will need to be hands on, somebody who is comfortable working in both the project detail, whilst also understanding and delivering on the broader program objective.

The candidate will be responsible for setting and managing the direction of the team, this will include:

- Designing / documenting the Project Approach.

- Oversight and review of all the Project Planning documentation

- Managing Program communication, including the structuring and preparation of Steering Committee and other governance material ; and

- Supporting the individual Project Managers in delivering the project.

Supporting the Project Managers will include :

- Helping the team structure and write effective / clear documentation, including but not limited to:

- Business Requirements

- Functional Specifications

- Traceability Matrices and Use Cases

- Testing Documentation

Experience :

The candidate must have experience of working in the Financial Services industry, with specific experience in both Project Management and also experience from working in or with Financial Accounting, Product Control or another Finance line team.

Preference is for the candidate to be a qualified accountant, although candidates will be considered who have good understanding of accounting through their work experience.

The expectation is that candidate has 10+ years of relevant experience.

- People Management - Ability to organize and manage a team of business analysts and project managers.

- Good negotiation skills - Ability to implement new business process and negotiate changes in roles and responsibilities.
