Vice President - Legal (15-20 yrs)
- Head the Legal and Regulatory function
- Heavily focused on drafting commercial contracts and structuring.
- Negotiations, drafting, interpreting and applying TRAI Regulations/ TDSAT orders, as also Regulatory which includes interfacing with MIB, TRAI etc. for nationwide digitization (DAS) process, statutory compliances, filings with TRAI and MIB
- Close interaction with business teams and stakeholders to strategize litigation, ensure recovery, deactivation of defaulting networks and anti-piracy raids
- Manage the litigation strategy in TDSAT, Courts, interface with and brief Counsels, build evidence and work towards favorable orders and reliefs to protect the organizations interest.
- Supervise and manage special projects Design and manage systems and processes
- Advise and guide business teams on regulatory issues
- Compliance to the companies act.
Other Responsibilities:
- Monitor change in compliance requirements and update management from time to time about their implications
Candidate Profile:
- Experience minimum :15 years
- LLB from premier law school & preferably a CS
- Should have managed corporate issues and complex commercial drafting independently in a media company or in top law firm in media practice.
- Have a result oriented approach with ability to identify key areas and focus on mission critical issues
- Excellent written and oral communication skill is must
- People management
- Should be hands on and self starter
- Should be a team player
- Solution orientation
- Strong business acumen
- Should be able to operate independently
