Vice President - Java - BFSI

Position Specifications :

Corporate Title : Vice President

Experience : 12- 15 Years

Role & Responsibilities :

- This is an Application Development team leadership role in Mumbai

- Management of new and mid-stage application development of both client and web based applications for global implementation.

- Participate in Design, architecting and developing various IT solutions for Treasury business

- Work closely with global IT team providing IT solutions and development team level support for business.

- Design and Delivery responsibilities for Mumbai team.

- Project management duties to ensure project delivery as per program schedules; determining and reporting delivery milestones.

- Responsibilities of high level of Quality controls and Checks through various industry standard Review and testing mechanisms.

- Fulfill Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology as part of project execution.

- Coordinating and collaborating with various Global business stakeholders.

- Collaboration with partner technology departments such as front and middle office, settlement systems, reference data, infrastructure, and other core IT counterparties.

- Support change management, change analysis, and front to back coordination.

- Proactively support ongoing analysis of graphical user interfaces and functional specifications for in-scope applications with the objective to recommend and contribute to ongoing improvements

- More than 11 years of industry experience with strong working experience in Core Java, in multiple OS environments (Unix/Linux/MS), preferably front-end development with Java.

- Good understanding of messaging middleware (MQ, TIBCO RV or EMS etc.).

- Good understanding of the Java Open Source Application Framework (like Spring framework).

- Experience in database design, preferably in Sybase, SQL Server or equivalent RDBMS.

- Experience in managing small to mid-size teams.

- Strong oral and written communications to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Proven track record in project management and delivery.

- Must be highly organized with attention to detail.

Desired :

- Experience with Investment Banking industry.

- Experience with treasury, Cash management, settlements, and liquidity system in a financial related industry, including both internal and also external sources such as SWIFT, BOJ, Zengin

- Technology architecture experience with high performance trade processing systems.

- Ability in GUI design and ability to evaluate effectiveness and alignment to business requirements.
