Vice President - Human Resource  OBJECTIVE :  - A Vice President of Human Resource will be responsible for a number of job responsibilities related to organizational development, recruitment and staffing, employment law, performance management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits. In addition, the Incumbent will provide management, leadership and direction to the HR staff.  - Some of the key expectation from this role also includes facilitating and providing guidance to management teams in HR matters, directing staff on HR functions, and developing, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures according to prevalent labour laws and regulations. The role expects the incumbent to handle grievances and manage hiring practices, including recruiting and selection.  - Enabling a firm to attract, hire and retain top-quality employees with competitive salary and benefits is an important duty of this role. Major areas of influence are establishing short- and long-term goals, budgeting for HR expenses, and networking with outside peers and organizations  - He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing a company's human resources business plan, establishing accountability, identifying solutions to resolve problems and fostering a diverse workplace that enables all employees to contribute to the organization at their full potential.  CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :  - Implementation of HR strategy, policies and procedures in line with the Organization Strategic Plan.  - Assess, build and implement a structured learning and development program at all levels in the organization  - Develop in depth understanding of the line of business both strategically and operationally such that he/she can provide business partner consulting to the top management.  - Conduct organizational assessments and work with leadership to drive culture development to support a best place to work environment  - Review organization design, and build a culture which inspires and motivates employees.  - Maintain consistency and fairness in implementation of HR policies across various divisions and locations of the company  - Create best practices in the areas of employee assimilation, development, engagement, talent management, succession planning, and retention of critical resource.  - Review the reward and recognition policy and align it with our business Objectives  - Working closely with practice leaders, conduct annual compensation review (reviewing market studies, performance results and peer ranges to ensure compensation rationalization)  - Deliver key HR Imperatives, including compensation, talent acquisition, leadership development, inclusion strategies, and campus engagement programs.  - Coach technical managers and leadership team on their own challenges as well as helps them to be effective leaders for their people.  - Holds leaders accountable for fostering healthy work environments so that Virtela is known and recognized as a great place to work.  - Develop and review process for effective employee on-boarding, including new manager and team assimilations.  - Ensures understanding and execution of company policies and Employee Handbook.  QUALIFICATION :  - Graduate with a MBA from Premier Institutes (Preferred). Any Graduate with a Master's degree in HRM can be considered looking at the experience.  EXPERIENCE :  - 18+years into Human Resource Management with at least 5 years as HR Business Partner in a global, highly matrixed organization.  - Experience in Telecom/BPO/ITES/Infrastructure Management Services is preferred  REQUIRED SKILLS :  - Strong track record and ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment  - Experience in highly successful, innovative cultures  - Strong Organizational Design and Development experience  - Strong background in leading organizations through transformational change   - Ability to multitask with multiple objectives in an ambiguity environment.  JOB LOCATION : Mumbai
