Vice President - Human Resource - IT (14-18 yrs)

Role: Vice President - Human Resources; Chennai

Role Objective:

Founded in 2000, Maveric has achieved more than 60% growth last year and is projected to grow at a rate of above 35% over the next 4 years. To fuel and support this exponential growth, we are looking for Vice President - HR to head our HR vertical and spearhead people practices and policies.

The role will report to the COO, will lead of team of about 20, and is based out of Chennai.

- The incumbent will support the business by formulating and driving execution of key people strategies, identifying and developing HR solutions based on business priorities and organizational analysis, in collaboration with the business leadership team.

- S/he will drive the overall Talent Management agenda including Talent Acquisition, Career Management & Succession Planning, Performance Management, HR Operations, Employee Engagement, and Learning & Development.

- The immediate focus areas for the incumbent would be to streamline HR Operations including implementation of HRMS systems; and Career Management and Employee Engagement to build a performance driven culture and a highly engaged and motivated workforce to sustain the company's rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the strategic human resource planning to provide the company with the best people talent available and to position the company as the Employer of Choice.

- Contribute to the strategic direction and formulation of corporate-wide policies, procedures, processes, systems and initiatives associated with meeting the operational issues of the organisation. Maintain current knowledge base of legal and regulatory trends in order to effectively counsel organization leaders.

- Responsible for HR Services (e.g. Induction, Onboarding, Orientation, Relocation, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, and Human Resource Information Systems) to optimize efficiencies and service delivery.

- Drive Talent Management by identifying competency, knowledge and talent gaps and developing specific initiatives/interventions such as career planning, succession planning programs for key contributors and leadership positions, workshops and mentoring for preparing employees for more significant responsibilities; collaborate with Training institutes and University programmes for building and enhancing career related domain specific programmes.

- Delivery capacity planning and derivation of month wise corporate bench strength requirement and connected responsibility to ramp up and down.

- Facilitation and moderation of performance management process, review effectiveness from time to time to increase performance levels and grading and promotions; ensure the performance management processes are implemented in the right spirit across business.

- Lead and guide the global design and implementation of learning and development programs in collaboration with functional leaders; create an on-going, interactive training/certification platform for new and current employees. Including but not limited to blended learning/tech-enabled/e-learning and Functional/technical training.

Desired Candidate Profile

- The ideal candidate should be PGDBM/MBA in HR from Tier I/II Business School with 14-17 years of HR generalist and leadership experience, preferably with multicultural/multi geography exposure.

- Must have hands-on strategic & operational exposure in a Corporate HR role preferably in IT/ITES sector.

- Should be below 40 years of age.

- The role is based out of Chennai; so willingness to relocate to Chennai is a must, if not currently residing in the city.
