Job Description:

Summary: You will lead the Insurance Business Finance team within RBWM Business Finance with the objective to develop & manage a high performing Insurance Business Finance, drive Insurance Transformation and support wider transformation within Finance.

Description:

This position is a key member of the RBWM Business Finance Management team. You will lead the Insurance Business Finance team within RBWM BF with the objective to deliver quality business decisions, drive Insurance Transformation and develop team capabilities.

As a lead, you would be expected to

- Manage service delivery for Insurance Business Finance as per the agreed service level metrics & key performance indicators

- Drive transformations projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

- Build team capabilities to continuously enhance service delivery

- Build strong relationships with all the in-country stake-partners for an ongoing positive engagement

- Establish governance structure for ongoing performance management and evaluation of the service delivery via setting up service management boards

- Establish governance for ongoing demand management

- Focus on continuous business process improvement initiatives. Drive improvement in service quality to ensure the culture of first time right, every time

- Identify and drive automation, technology improvement initiatives to help streamline the operations and improve the process efficiency

- Individual is expected to have exposure and contribute in below areas as well:

Commercial Acumen

- Strong Insurance Business Functional knowledge, including detailed knowledge of life insurance products and their value drivers

- Working understanding of reporting processes including actuarial modelling

- Established Finance, Management Information, performance Management & Financial control credentials

- Constantly engage with wider RBWM Business Finance team to deliver superior quality Business Analysis/Reports

- Present opportunities for hubbing and consolidation through data backed analysis

- Review all major changes and projects affecting areas of responsibility, checking the impacts of each change and mitigating adverse impacts

- Ability to lead the teams during ambiguity

Processes

- Responsible for identifying opportunities for re-engineering and quality assurance, and for the detailed development of up-to-date PLAs in consultation with all stakeholders

- Responsible for the delivery of service in line with the PLAs, and for the Ireporting, investigation and mitigation of all breaches (delivering improvements at pace)

- Keeps a real time view of all incidents, mitigating plans affecting the stakeholders

- Drive Continuous improvement and sharing of best practices across teams

- Adopt the right approach (Lean, Six Sigma) appropriate to processes for driving improvements and deliver benefits

Relationships

- Form strong relationships with the stakeholders building an understanding of requirements and business drivers (will require confident interaction with multiple stakeholders in the business, finance, risk, etc across multiple geographies and cultures)

- Work closely with Financial Control leadership

Quality Reviews

- Lead the Service Delivery reviews for business finance, reporting to the Group Insurance Head of Business Finance and in-country CFOs

- Prepare status reports for projects during transformation project reviews

General

- Support the Head of RBWM Business Finance in achieving the RBWM BF and overall BF Goals

- Support Head of Insurance Business Finance in achieving seamless BAU report production and effective and rapid delivery of change initiatives

- To maintain a sound knowledge and understanding of current methodologies, technologies and services, whilst maintaining an awareness of businesses

To be successful in this role you will need

- Qualified Chartered Accountant / Certified Public Accountant / MBA from a Tier 1 Institute in India or overseas

- 12-15 years of experience obtained in a Multi-national / International company either within or outside of India

- Experience in Insurance Actuarial or an exposure to the workings of Actuarial

- Experience in Management Information and Business Analysis

- Experience of the planning and forecasting cycle of a large organisation- Extensive and recent experience in Insurance, preferably life insurance, and also preferable from a bancassurance environment

- Strong leadership skills, prior record of building, developing high performing teams with focus on quality

- Prior experience of implementing a managed services model preferably in a finance function

- Excellent numerical and analytical skills and ability to get into the detail to guide, educate and develop their team

- Thrives under pressure and has a proven ability to multi-task,

- Ability to collaborate all levels

- Extensive experience of Customer relationships, confidence and presence to deal with Customer

- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

- Sound commercial judgment, with a strong understanding of business issues
