Vice President - Finance (10-15 yrs)
Designation: VP - Finance - reporting into the CFO
Work Location: Chennai
Profile:
- 10-14 years of experience across various functions in the Finance team of a mid- large sized company.
- CA - preferably ranker, if not must have cleared in first attempt.
- Strong accounting knowledge.
- Ability to lead at 14-15 member team.
- Strong financial knowledge and analytical skills.
Role and responsibilities:
Accounting and Audit:
- Lead all bookkeeping functions across 5 geographies including India and US.
- Lead the timely preparation of US GAAP and local GAAP accounts across 5 geographies including India and US. Both Standalone and Consolidated accounts.
- Develop and maintain appropriate accounting policies including but not limited to revenue recognition, revenue expenditure and capital costs.
- Lead all financial operations of the Group including but not limited invoicing, accounts receivables, accounts payable, cash management, and payroll (across all geographies)
- Develop and implement appropriate systems and procedures to ensure effective and efficient management of the Group’s finances.
- Improve existing financial control frameworks and develop and implement new control frameworks as required to ensure appropriate responsibility and authority matrix required for absolute financial control.
- Lead and implement all audit related work – from identification and appointment of auditors to working closely with them to ensure timely closure of internal, local statutory and global consolidated audits.
- Improve existing accounting policies and systems and develop and implement new accounting policies and systems as required to ensure that accounts are effectively managed as per latest GAAP requirements.
- Lead all accounting related compliances, including upon listing in a US exchange, relevant SOX and other accounting compliances.
Business Finance and MIS Reporting:
- Improve existing reporting frameworks and develop and implement new reporting frameworks to enable timely and accurate MIS reporting to top management.
- Develop, implement and maintain systems to report profitability by project, solution centre, geography and company.
- Lead all profitability, margin and cost related discussions with internal teams, including but not limited to monthly reviews with relevant teams, centres and geographies.
- Lead all cost management initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies and processes to enable real time capture of profitability and margins as per Group norms.
- Develop and implement strategies for improvement of profitability and resource utilization.
Transfer Pricing:
- Lead the preparation of the transfer pricing strategies for the related party transactions across the various group entities.
- Work with internal and external teams in implementing transfer pricing related matters.
- Work with external advisors on transfer pricing studies and submission of transfer pricing reports to appropriate regulatory authorities.
Treasury accounting and reporting:
- Lead all bookkeeping functions for the investment entities in the Group both in India and overseas.
- Develop and maintain appropriate accounting policies for the reporting of investment related activities.
- Develop, maintain and implement strategies relating to the regulatory and statutory compliance requirements for the investment entities in the Group.
Systems and processes:
- Maintain and improve existing reporting and accounting systems including but not limited to the systems used for core accounting (Microsoft Dynamics/Navision), payroll (Pocket) and other systems.
