- should have dealt directly with CEO/ Promoter for more than 6 years in his career
- should be #1 or #2 in the F&A department. Should have supervised a team of not less than 6 persons

- supervision of day to day accounts/ - generation of monthly MIs (PL, BS, CF)
- routine compliance
- closing audits (he should have been audited by a big 4 auditor)/ - faced internal audits
- reporting/ presented to board of directors
- raised loans from Banks (ask for how much money they have raised)
- drafted SOPs/ - worked in an ERP environment/ - led ERP implementation
- made business process improvements
- led cost reduction initiatives/ - assisted in costing/ pricing decisions
- evaluated insurance products'/ - reviewed supplier, customer contracts
- managed cash flow/ - managed credit control to customers
- evaluated BU/ profit centre/ product profitability
- dealt with tax authorities/ - dealt with tax consultants, company secretaries, lawyers
- managed atleast 2 out of sales tax/VAT, service tax, excise duty, customs duty
- raised PE/ VC funding/ - acquired a company or a business
- supported a rapid scale up in the business
- turnaround in a sick/ cash stressed company
- taken a company to DRHP/ IPO
- led supply chain or commercial or purchase functions, in addition to F&A
