Designation: Vice President Engineering We are growing our product portfolio and are seeking a VP Engineering to join our engineering and innovation centre based in Pune. This position demands leadership skills and the ability to build a team of high performing engineers across software design, development, application testing. This position will be responsible for architecting company's creative platform. The position demands working collaboratively with stakeholders and helping the company roll out the product at a faster pace while maintaining global benchmarks of stability and quality. The position directly reports to the Founders What we're looking for in the candidate - Must have strong technical and managerial skills with proven leadership skills as demonstrated by a track record of leading projects, software development projects - Prior experience in setting up the engineering team and processes - Hands on experience in development of complex systems on the cloud (preferably AWS) which scale to billions of transactions - Experience in hiring and growing a product development team - Solid understanding of business processes and the application of technology to implement them - Ability to communicate, downward and upward, and hold meetings. - Hands on management experience in scaling organization & process to deliver and maintain complex systems - Strong understanding of front end technologies like HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, scalable systems, platform & browser environments on desktop, mobile and mobile apps - Prior experience in advertising and SaaS space will be an added advantage The Role : VP Engineering - Define vision for excellence at company for your teams, and then make it part of the culture in your team. - You will be responsible for providing the strategic direction and leadership to ensure that all of Company's online solutions and services within your divisions are delivered successfully. - You will be responsible for product delivery and quality, reliability and stability of infrastructure. Create process and teams that helps monitor infrastructure and produce product support round the clock. - Attract and retain top engineering talent. Ensure engineering excellence and rigor in architecture, execution and delivery. Mentor & develop leaders within your team. - Move currently outsourced work to in-house development over a period of time. Set up process for KT and technical documentation that can enable quick on-boarding of new employees. - Create a support layer that helps drive customer satisfaction and deliver outstanding products and services to the market. - Work with founders and executive teams to deliver on Company's business goals and create tight cooperation and coordination between teams. - Lead technical integrations with top players in the ecosystem like SSPs, DMPs, exchanges, ad servers etc. Qualifications - Graduate/Post Graduate, preferably from a leading engineering institute - IIT/ NIT - 12 to 15 years of experience in software development with a leadership role for last 4 to 5 years - Prior experience in building innovative new products, large scale systems and reliable cloud-based SaaS technology platforms
