Exciting opportunity for a VP / Director - Investment Origination India with a leading Investment bank. Candidates from Investment finance/ M&A / Leveraged Finance / DCM / Investment sector specialism preferred.

Description :

- Purpose of this role is to originate new mid-cap client relationships and cross product deal opportunities for the bank.

- The originator will map out potential strategic clients across relevant sectors and build target lists.

- They will work with Coverage team to drive a coverage origination effort into this target client base, originate & execute deals and manage the portfolio of new and existing clients.

The role requires effective internal communication of the Client Coverage strategy - to maintain buy-in of stakeholders and to build a culture of coverage and collaboration within the organisation.

Profile :

The candidate :

- Client-facing origination / sales roles in banks or other similar financial institutions, ideally in Investment finance / M&A

- Exposure to and understanding of the core banking product set across Investment finance advisory, Investment lending and treasury hedging solutions.

- Ability to organise and contribute to sector focused client reviews

- Ability to originate new client relationships and deal opportunities

- Risk awareness: Ability to identify, analyse and mitigate risk.

- High degree of enthusiasm and hunger for new clients and deals.
