Vice President - Credit - Real Estate

We are an Executive Search Firm currently hiring for an exclusive mandate with one of a client a reputed Real Estate Funding Group.

Job Role / Responsibilities :

Responsibilities as outlined in key roles and competency required below.

Key Role :

Must have exposure

- Credit proposal finalization: with all the details relevant for the Committee to take informed decisions. Thorough understanding & knowledge of IRR, NPV's and cash flow analysis and financial models.

- Eye for details: Understanding of Deal contours & structure, for input in the Term Sheets ensuring that the risks are mitigated.

- RE Legal framework awareness: Thorough understanding of Land use, land conversion, mortgage rules, registration rules etc within the regional markets. Closely interact with the legal team for ensuring risks are duly captured covering the open issues and mitigants thereto.

- Team Management : To manage team Credit Analysts (including close interaction within Business Team)

- Process Flow map and Policy framework: Development / Change process flows for increased efficiency on proposal evaluation till Sanction. Evaluation and development of master credit policy & guidelines for funding based on various industry/geographical analysis and regulatory changes

- Exposure within Real Estate (RE) Finance products : (1) RE - Construction Finance Business (2) RE - Structured Finance (3) RE - Investments

- Flare for trend follow up closely : Regional Micro Market study and regular updates with value analysis

- Closely follow, using the experience, the trends in the Indian markets - South, North & West regions

- Client Interface : Meeting customers and getting thorough understanding of the Project details - cost of construction, cash flows, sold / unsold inventories, absorption rate in that locality vis-a-vis other projects in the close vicinity

- Familiarity with large Builder / Construction companies with understanding of managing the deal from start to disbursement and follow up.

Competency Required :

- Dovetail and adopt best industry practices and learning from the delinquent cases reported or otherwise in the Builder / Developer community.

- Networked with Financial Institutions, Industry advisors / arrangers (JLL, Knight Frank, Cushman, Prop Equity etc) for getting an independent view of the promoters.

- Having worked in different geographies of India viz North India, West India & South India.
