Position Summary   Responsible for embedding compliance in the organization and monitoring, primarily relating to Regulatory requirements, FEC policy. Responsible for reporting(s) to /liaison with FIU-IND, maintaining regulatory filing calendar and ensuring timely filings.  Key Accountabilities   - Handle the secretarial and governance compliance requirements, organizing all Board, Committees, Shareholders and other Stakeholders meetings.  - Advice on corporate governance practices, compliance of prescribed corporate governance norms. Liaising with regulatory Authorities including IRDAI, FIU, MCA & ROC.  - Ensure compliance risks are within organizational appetite at all times, and timely information is provided to shareholders and management so as to be aware of the risk level of the organization.  - Engage with the senior management team to create awareness about critical legal & compliance matters and brief them on an ongoing basis.  - Lead secretarial compliance management for the legal entity by ensuring adherence to corporate laws requirements & corporate governance obligations.  - Ensure accurate and timely reports to the regulator and maintain cordial relationship with the regulator to ensure smooth conduct of business.  - Support the grievance management process by providing timely advice and guidance on resolution of grievances to Grievance Redressal Officer.  - Support the product development team in the interpretations of IRDA regulations and draft product T & Cs including review of all advertisement materials.  - Review all important and strategic business proposals / plans to ensure that the management is aware of the legal and compliance requirements and help mitigate risks.   - Lead the Compliance team by providing the requisite subject matter and management expertise required to turn around the functional responsibilities within the expected timelines.  - Promote collaborative approach to problem solving whereby the function appreciates business requirements and makes efforts to provide compliant and workable solutions within the risk appetite when faced with restrictions under the extant regulations.   - Promote team work by involving team members in work related decision making and launching staff engagement initiatives within the team  - Identify learning and development opportunities for self and team members to ensure competence of the team to handle and deliver functional responsibilities and facilitate succession planning  - Work with corporate/business compliance professionals in the region to identify/address program trends and emerging risks, identify program gaps, and share best practices on compliance processes, tools and controls initiatives.  - Promptly react to compliance Issues by leading investigations, analyzing the facts and producing thorough and well documented conclusions  Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications   - CA/CS/LLB preference to candidates from industry handling similar areas of work as mentioned above. Minimum work experience of 12-15 years.  - In-depth working knowledge required in Microsoft word, excel, power point.  - Candidates currently working in the Compliance dept of a corporate entity handling corporate compliance work preferred.  Specific Qualification Requirement, If any( Eg: CA, LLB)  CA/CS/LLB
