Position : Sales Manager- Wrangler

Location : Chandigarh

Key Area of Responsibility :

Business Plan :

- Achievement of annual sales targets measured as order intake and billing done to expand business within the assigned territory.

- Ensure maximum participation of dealers in the road shows & deliver the agreed order.

- To improve stock turnover ratios, reduce stock holding value and increase sales to meet the distributor's objective which in turn lead to better brand sales.

- Ensure 95% plus core replenishment's through adequate base stock at distributor point & by regular sales follow up.

Distributor Expansion :

- Finding new avenues/ opportunities for distribution expansion.

- Increase market share in the state assigned.

- Increase the shelf space.

- Develop new SIS's & DEBO's

- Add new doors in the territory for MBO's.

Sales Operations :

- Monthly dealer sales analysis.

- Monthly auditing of stocks.

- Ensures that all merchandising and store environment plans are fully implemented and store events effectively executed.

- Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.

- Ensure adequate staple stock inventory at distributor point for replenishment's.

Market Research :

- Market mapping & competitors study to understand the market.

- Update management on market fluctuations and competitive changes in product ownership or strategies. Recommend shifts in sales action plans in response to these fluctuations or changes.

- Provisioning of timely and detailed information on market needs, buying trends and competitive information;

Distributor Management :

- Improve claims management.

- Should control distributors in all states for primary sales & collection of payments in time.

- To effectively manage network of distributors and agents in the region.

- To map the existing markets & customer base in the existing markets and review the same with Distributor to ensure that annual /monthly sales targets can be achieved.

- Periodic review and training of channel partner sales team on competition, pricing, new products, market development, daily work management and safety measures so as to ensure that they are trained and motivated.

- Evaluate performance and monitor distributor sales & marketing activities through target setting & reviewing measures.

Commercial Control :

- To ensure maximum cost effective stock turnover ratio for the distributor.

- To examine weekly/monthly debtor situation and effectiveness of credit control procedure.

- Billing in sync with credit limit.

- Bank guarantee in sync with market requirements.

Major Challenge :

- To strive, achieve and maintain, effective and high distributor service levels keeping company's interest at the top.

- Effective Communication flow between all parties.(Internal/External)

- Effective margin negotiation benefiting VF.

- Continuously enhancing team capabilities.
