By 2020, they want to have impacted the lives and habitats of at least 5 million people worldwide.   About the Venture: With support from one of the world's most prominent foundations, the organization launched a venture, an innovative program catalysing the setup of multiple businesses in Faecal Sludge Management (FSM) with focus on treatment and reuse, leveraging existing global experience.  The organization is hiring a Venture Builder to join their venture in Bangalore. The candidate, with techno-commercial/ techno-economic experience in similar areas, will lead efforts to execute multiple projects on-the-ground in India, working closely with government, private and non-profit organizations. Additionally, he/ she will help the organization's international team strengthen the organization's expertise in sanitation and its larger thematic focus on the Circular Economy.  Roles/ Responsibilities:  1. Drive the implementation and execution of 5 FSM-focused projects on the ground, across multiple states in India.  2. Work together with team to build viable business partnerships (including both local and international parties) in FSM.  3. Provide hands-on (design, implementation and ad-hoc) support to the parties involved.  4. Engage with government authorities for project-specific deliverables (support, permissions, etc.).  5. Prepare detailed feasibility studies and detailed project report (DPRs) as per project requirement.  6. Monitoring and assessment of activities and projects, and reporting to relevant internal / external stakeholders.  7. Providing ad-hoc support to the organization's team on other India and international projects.  Requirements:  1. 7+ years of experience in areas such as sewage treatment, waste water, and septage management. Techno-commercial/ techno-economic experience including contract negotiations is desired. No upper limit on experience.  2. Relevant experience working with government and government-affiliated institutions at local and state level.   3. Experience at national level and building PPPs a bonus.  4. Proven track record of designing and implementing capital-intensive projects, including (but not exclusive to) construction projects/ civil works, detailed project report (DPR)/ feasibility studies and tendering.  5. Relevant stakeholder management experience at multiple levels - including clients, partners, end beneficiaries, institutions, government, etc.  6. Graduate/ post-graduate degree or commensurate experience in Civil/ Environmental Engineering or related field.  7. Effective communication skills in English and Hindi. Fluency in another Indian language a bonus.  8. Flexibility and willingness to travel in India and internationally as per project need.  You would be expected to:  1.
