The person would be responsible for planning and overseeing routine accounting activities, preparation and tracking of business plans and internal reporting to the Management, using outsourced and in-house resources.
Qualification & Key Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- CA with at least 4-5yrs of financial accounting & reporting experience, relevant experience in forecasting and budgeting is essential.
- Ability to see the big picture while focusing on the process and procedures necessary to produce deliverables.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
- Highly skilled in MS Excel.
- Highly developed analytical and communication skills, and a strong team player
- Strong organizational and management skills, comfortable with dual reporting lines and multi-city operations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement processes, policies and system controls relating to financial management, budgets and accounting.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate books.
- Manage outsourced functions.
- Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and the receivables are collected promptly.
- Periodic review of the chart of accounts.
- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed, regular review of bank position.
- Supervise and participate in the preparation of various financial statements and reports, including annual financial statements and supporting schedules for audit.
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
- Prepare and monitor long term business plans and annual/ quarterly budgets.
- Compile and review Budget Variance Analysis including monthly reviews with senior management.
- Executive dashboard reporting.
- Coordinate internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
- Regular Financial Statement Analysis - Prepare monthly reporting package, including comparative reports of GAAP operating results and financial position and variance explanations.
- Keep control of required statutory reporting norms
- Track and review intercompany transactions with the parent company and group companies
