Job Title: GM-VM
Division : Visual Merchandising
Reports to : Sr.VP Operations
Experience : Minimum 8 years
Job purpose :
Responsible for working alongside the senior leadership team for strategic palling of visual merchandising and oversee the VM teams.
Primary responsibilities :
- Develop, deliver and communicate visual concepts and strategies to promote brand and products in-store and online.
- Layout, forward and space planning for all stores.
- Conceptualization and execution of VM themes and new store opening plans.
- Conceptualizes VM themes for show windows, signs, and graphics in line with brand identity and seasonal category inputs.
- Liaising with teams such as buying, design and marketing to create design themes and plans, including window and in-store displays, signage and pricing concepts.
- Conducting research on current and future trends in design, lifestyle and associated target market features
- Identifying and sourcing props, fabrics, and hardware.
- Maintaining budgets and negotiating with suppliers of visual materials.
- Creating visual merchandising packs to communicate visual guidelines including layout principles, visual dressings and signage.
- Partners with projects team for developing new display fixtures and planning VM materials for new and refitted stores.
- Reviews with VM team and field Visual Merchandisers for recommendations to improve adjacencies, display fixtures, and merchandise presentation norms for every product category.
- Partners with merchandise team in creating shop maps for floor set.
- Directing creative coordinator for all creative needs of floor set.
- Coordinate and run pre-set meeting prior to floor set; present and review shop maps,promo list and marketing; resolve all preliminary floor set issues.
- Travel stores with District Manager and Field Visual Managers
- Meeting with business, sales managers and retail managers to discuss sales strategies
- Working with architectural features of stores to maximise the available space
- Visiting branches to coach in-store visual merchandising or sales teams to interpret the guidelines and training them in the execution of the visual concept
Education :
- Graduation / PG diploma / PG degree preferably in Fashion Designing
Key Skills and Attributes :
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, prioritizing and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and has had budget responsibility.
- Hands on experience in communicating VM strategies and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Relevant visual experience at a senior level from a value retail background, along with people management experience and a high level of commercial acumen.
