If you've got start-up DNA and want to be a part of the Indian e-commerce story, Utsav is the place to be.  Who are we looking for:  Position Title : Head of Sales and Merchandising   Function : Sales and Merchandising   Leadership Stage : Function Head  Reporting to : CEO  Grade : M3/M2  Location : Delhi/Kolkata   Purpose of the Job: Lead Utsav to showcase freshest, trendiest & largest assortment with customer & market insights to meet customer needs & category sales goals  Functional Expectations and Drivers (Group Level):  - Create leading offering of Indian Ethnic Fashion across the Globe in a way that invites passionate advocacy amongst India-lovers across the world who do not have convenient access to all the richness on offer   - Set the overarching strategic direction for sales plans across Categories and ensuring the vision for the brand comes to life.  - Explore national & international retail/ecommerce trends to ensure business strategies are built on relevant current & future trends  - Create one of the best experience for customers by leading the product discovery and search function along with the Technical team   - Work closely with the Fashion, Sourcing and Customer Experience function to gather their input prior to business planning periods.  - Drive the sales and merchandising team in building business insights covering, shopper, consumer, & competitors & develop into business strategies that, through differentiation, will create market leading out comes.  - Provide high level direction on the plans for departments & key categories.  - Ensure category plans drive sustainable competitive & differentiated outcomes for the business.  - Act as the flag bearer of Indian Ethnic Fashion by defining Categories role to fulfill customer aspiration as per the evolving consumer's buying behavior   - Own and drive Promotion Management, Pricing, Margins and Markdown  - Generating Omni channels of Sales through alliances  - Key Numbers to be driven : Sales, Conversion, ASP, Margins, Pricing, Markdown and AOV   Including but not limited to:  Desired Skills & Experience:  - Experience in a sales/category role for a diverse product category, fashion industry experience would be an added advantage  - Conversant and passionate about internet technologies !Loves shopping on the internet/ecommerce platform and understand the opportunities   - Experience in understanding and selling to the global customer base   - High Analytical and quantitative skills;
