UPL has its presence in more than 120 countries worldwide with global human capital strength of more than 10,000.   Role: Procurement Strategist  Location: Mumbai   Reporting to: GM - Purchase   Purpose: To assist the Senior Strategist in drawing-up the Procurement Strategy for assigned portfolio of key RMs, negotiate and contract.   Key Responsibilities:   Procurement Strategy:  - Strategy making for Key RMs for molecules  - Execution of strategy prepared over the period of a year as per the requirements of the business   Procurement Savings, Cost Management, Payables, Inventories:  - Delivering savings through the SCE levers  - Managing purchased rates within budget  - Ensure cost competitiveness vs competition  - Ensure commodity cover and price management  - Stretching Supplier payment terms by 5 days as full RM basket  - Managing RM inventory within 7 days for local and 45 days for imported (incl. In-transit)  Supplier Management:  - Managing supplier performance and relationships  - Develop strong and sustainable vendor relationships for meeting dynamic business needs  Problem Resolution:  - Resolving supply, quality, LC or payment issues  Stakeholder Management:  - Meet internal stakeholders to understand needs, build relations and drive projects, meet objectives, improve processes, solve problems  Education and Experience:  - Chemical Engineering / B.Sc. Chem. + MBA in Supply chain/ Operations  - 5-7 years of experience in Strategic Procurement in Agrochemicals/ Specialty Chemicals/ FMCG/ Pharma/ Paints or similar industry  Functional Skills required:  - Extensive knowledge about the industry  - Good understanding of Strategic Sourcing, Chemistry  - Working knowledge of imports, LCs  - Understanding of CIB registrations  - Working knowledge of SAP/ Oracle   Behavioural Skills required:  - Proactive  - Excellent communication skills, negotiation skills & stakeholder management  - Customer Focus  - Problem Solving Skills  - Ability to plan and organize meticulously  - Result oriented
