ORGANIZATION

We are a young educational-technology start-up that is logging new routes in the domain of Mathematics. Going beyond the traditional focus on mathematical concepts, Unnati Educare takes a wider approach in introducing students to the real world of mathematics. This includes an engaging learning experience by using worksheets, application-based technology and learning by doing under the supervision of trained teachers.

Unnati's mission is to reveal this - language- of mathematics to young school students thus helping them to apply it in the real world.

Based on adaptive and game based learning, the company will partner with teachers who will facilitate the curriculum from their learning centers. The certified teachers will get complete assistance in training, digital marketing to get students and access to both physical books and e-content for students.

Lead Architect and Product Manager

REPORTING TO

Chief Executive Officer/ equivalent position and Leadership Board

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT - Full Time

LOCATION - Mumbai

SALARY - 12~14 Lakh p.a. + Stock Options in the company

POSITION DESCRIPTION - IN BRIEF

We are looking for a lead architect, who has experience in leading teams, has technical knowledge (ability to code) and building products from ground-up.

- Create blueprint of entire tech, backing the educational product/ service.

- Build website with sales lead capabilities, LMS, ERP, CRM, Company Dashboard (MIS).

- Build team of web developers, android developer and others.

- Set-up entire backend and front end IT infrastructure.

- Co-ordinate with UX designers to constantly enhance user experience.

- Creating of strong project timeline along with budgeting and regular reporting.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- The candidate is expected to work with business stakeholders to define a product roadmap.

- Define and document detailed requirements for Web, Mobile Web & Mobile App and create the entire IT infrastructure of both hardware and software.

- Create workflows charts and keeping in mind the User Experience. Work with the design and management teams.

- Lead and mentor engineers to deliver a world-class buying and selling experience to educators

- Provide full stack expertise to the engineering team and establish best practices on code quality and performance

- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to build great tools for educators

- Build confidence in our systems through automated testing, continuous integration, monitoring, and analytics

- Provide architecture-level and code-level feedback for your team

- Shepherd the technical decision-making process for your team

- Conduct competitive analysis regularly and identify areas for differentiation

- The tech products that we intent to create are -

- Website with sales leads / location search capabilities,

- CRM features on the backend (as a website)

- ERP features (as a website) as there will be flow of materials and invoicing,

- LMS - Android and iOS Apps which will include assessment (tests) for children, progress bar and gamified experience,

- Interactive videos using 3rd party software or building the tech from ground-up.

- Company and Customer Dashboard that has all MIS and analytical functions.

- Creating data gathering points for data analysis

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

Essential:

- Ability to build a project from scratch, by building a blueprint, hiring and delivering the product in a timely and cost efficient manner.

- Knowledge of front end and back end web development, android development (basics/ enough to monitor an android developer), integration of APIs, etc.

- Full Stack ninja with strong experience in Javascript, Python, Ruby, MySQL

- Integration experience with AWS, Nginx, RESTFul services

- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral

- A commitment to collaboration and shared leadership

- Problem solving skills with an ability to lead a team and align them towards a common goal

- Total experience of 6 years + in technology and product.

- Strong Analytical abilities.

- Track record of defining and releasing successful products

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment

- Entrepreneurial mind set is a big plus

Education/Other Pre-Requisites : BE/M,Tech in computer science or IT

Experience using frameworks and ability to use open source frameworks so to build our products faster rather than spending time building infrastructure.

Candidate should have prior experience leading teams technically.
