Unity Infotech - Project Manager - Banking Applications

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Must have ability to think strategically based on client's target customer, and drive key feature requirements of Banking applications.

- Develops and demonstrates an understanding of the client's business, their needs, expectations, and requirements.

- Collaborates with the project team to drive the approach, deliverables, schedule and tools to deliver the project within established constraints.

- Works with client team as well as any and all members of assigned project team to estimate costs and timing for tasks such as project strategy, functional design, visual design, technology requirements, etc., utilizing established estimating process and tools.

- Coordinates all activities of the project team and ensures that project tasks are completed by: scheduling and facilitating project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, status, internal/client reviews, etc,), communicating action steps to team, and delivering weekly status reports to project team, the client and management.

- Delivery of projects on time, to budget and to scope.

- Creating and maintaining projects plans, covering dependencies, milestones and external meetings, with inputs from the delivery team.

- Manage changes to, and risks around and resource planning

- Ensuring a strict change management process is adhered to, working alongside the delivery team, product team and client services.

- Working closely with internal teams and 3rd party development teams

- Maintenance of project reports to ensure spend, progress to project objectives, and changes.

- Managing communications during key project meeting

- Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve delivery processes.

- Lead by example by embodying a professional, approachable and positive attitude.

Required Skills & Experience:

- At least 3-5 years- experience as a Project Manager in Banking applications

- Experience managing projects successfully from start to finish.

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, ideally from development background.

- Knowledge and understanding of Agile software development and methodologies and Continuous Integration concepts

- Understanding of the creation and consumption of REST Web Services

- A sound understanding of content management systems

- Outstanding communication skills - knowing when and how to communicate to different roles and seniority.

- True team play - able to bring people together and create a strong team dynamic.

- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

- Develop required materials including technical specifications, project and resource plans, project updates, and presentation materials.
