Looking for a Master Opportunity Creator and Closer

Unitus is looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager who will find no greater pleasure than helping our fund grow as a leader in the venture industry, and helping our startups grow into billion dollar businesses. Armed with strong business acumen and extensive networks, you will help Unitus strengthen our presence in the Indian startup ecosystem, help formulate and drive new initiatives and also help our portfolio companies identify, build and leverage partnerships that will put them on a high growth trajectory. Specific Responsibilities & Objectives

- Work with Unitus and our portfolio companies to identify, connect with and build productive relationships with key partners to create maximum value to the partnerships

- Be our primary point of contact for strategic partnering across our portfolio companies

- Research new partnership strategies for the firm and execute go-to-market plans

- Track and understand key partner metrics to ensure productive relationships

- Seek, build and manage pipeline of potential partners, leveraging our - Startup Scouts- across 9 metros in India

- Work with partners and portfolio companies to build and spread best practices

Role Qualifications

Education and Prior Experience:

- Prefer a masters degree - MBA or equivalent a plus

- 5-8 years experience working in a professional business environment in a senior business development or startup leadership role

- 1-2 years experience in startups, business and strategy consulting, operations or related areas

Skills:

- Exceptional sales skills and comfortable with setting and reaching aggressive targets

- Highly motivated self-starter who creates opportunity, does not wait for direction, thrives on ambiguity, solves her/his own problems, is highly organized and gets stuff done

- Demonstrated track record of sourcing, managing & deriving value from key partnerships

- Recognized strong interpersonal, relationship management and negotiation skills including proven ability to influence others to achieve results.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong entrepreneurial spirit with empathy and good judgment in supporting and interacting with high-performance entrepreneurs.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and present compelling arguments and analysis in a clear and succinct manner.

- Fluent in English is required; Hindi fluency is desirable; knowledge of other Indian languages is a plus.
