Job Description/Position Overview :

- This role will be responsible for the critical management of the Healthcare Operations Analytics and Data Reporting capabilities, leading the detailed statistical analysis of our Clinical Operations to identify actionable insights, and building predictive models. The insight from this analysis will be used to drive Operations investments and talent management decisions, and assess various clinical operations program effectiveness.

- The position will create and statistically analyze large data sets of internal and external data and communicate the results across the organization in a way that informs and drives the organization to action.

This position requires advanced understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Management principles.

Job Responsibilities :

- As part of the seeding team, the individual should be comfortable working- across cross functional teams, in building POCs / Pilots and reusable modules for the use of rest of the organization

- Analyze and visualize data on a project basis to enhance operational efficiency for a global healthcare company. The Data Analyst will lead and perform complex analysis in an evolving data environment.

- To participate along with his/ her manager in building CBA and business cases for new initiatives for cross functional initiatives across the organization

- Work closely with his/ her manager and internal/external clients to understand the business problem and contribute towards approach design

- Ensure smooth delivery of analytics projects undertaken and responsible for project communications

- Preparation of project plans starting from defining business problem/scope to delivery approach- and present findings to stakeholders in a prompt and effective manner

- With assistance from his/ her manager, the individual should be able to arrive at a desired approach to a business problem, able to delineate tasks, manage his/ her time efficiently & present the findings with utmost clarity

- Supports the Operations leadership team to identify business challenges and use data analysis to help influence changes to the operations, process or programs.

- Utilizes technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze enterprise-wide people and other cross-functional data as needed.

- Communicates findings to senior management via formal presentations, standard management reporting artifacts on periodic/quarterly/annual basis.

- Creates, maintains, and ensures quality assurance of key operations data sets, reports, and metrics.

- Works as the key representative to the external benchmarks and key surveys supporting the Optum Operations

- Ensure smooth delivery of all projects undertaken and be personally responsible for day-to-day project communications

- Build dashboards by pulling data from different data sources and websites for presentations for senior management team.

- Work closely with his / her manager and internal/external clients to understand the business problem and contribute towards approach design.

- Strong project management skills; Ability to handle complex projects in a multi-tasking environment, effectively prioritize ones time, manage expectations and deliverables. A self-starter, who proactively drives projects, looks for new and better ways of doing things, can lead and gain consensus. Shows drive, passion and a sense of ownership.

Qualification/Required Skill-set :

- 8- 10 years of experience in of business intelligence, data management and Consulting / Healthcare Analytics- experience

- Advanced degree (B-Tech / M-Tech / MBA.) from Top-tier institute.

- Serves as the domain expert for operations analytics

- Prior Healthcare Experience will be an added advantage

- Should have experience working in KPO setup

- Strong exposure to MS Xcel (including VBA), MS PowerPoint & an analytical bent to slice-dice business data-

- Good communication skills (both oral & written) in order to participate in project discussions internally within the team & with end customers

- Ability to make need-based travel (approx. 25 - 30%) specific to projects in short notice (including internationally)
